DMaaST Webinar Brings Together Experts to Discuss Flexibility in Manufacturing
On 2 July 2026, the DMaaST project, in collaboration with the MaaSAI Project, successfully hosted the webinar “Flexibility in Manufacturing”, bringing together 43 participants from across industry, research and the European innovation community.
The webinar explored how digital technologies can help manufacturers become more flexible, resilient and better prepared to respond to changing market conditions, supply chain disruptions and sustainability challenges. Discussions highlighted the growing importance of trusted data, interoperability, Manufacturing-as-a-Service (MaaS) and advanced digital solutions in shaping the future of European manufacturing.
The event featured valuable contributions from:
- Dušan Jakovljevic, Policy Director at EEIP, who moderated the session together with an amazing keynote speech.
- Damir Filipovic, representing BluSpecs and the Horizon Europe project CEI-Sphere, who shared insights into digital innovation and industrial collaboration.
- Branimir Rakić, Co-founder & CTO of Trace Labs and OriginTrail Core Developer, who presented the DMaaST perspective and their work within the project.
- Sebastian Peña Serna, Founder of Clesgo, representing the MaaSAI Project, who introduced the project’s vision and its contribution to the future of Manufacturing-as-a-Service.

The webinar concluded with an engaging round-table discussion, where speakers exchanged views on the opportunities and challenges associated with increasing flexibility in manufacturing and answered questions from participants.
