The DMaaST Consortium gathered last week in Ljubljana for our second consortium meeting, hosted by our esteemed partners at Trace Labs. The meeting marked an important milestone as we reviewed our progress, set the stage for the next steps, and explored the innovations driving our mission to transform the manufacturing industry.

The two-day event, which took place on 26 and 27 November, offered an invaluable opportunity for our partners to share progress updates, exchange knowledge, and align on strategic goals for the next phases of the project. Ema Lovšin from Trace Labs led the meeting with great enthusiasm, setting the tone for the productive sessions that followed.

Strengthening Collaboration and Sustainability

HOLOSS, which is leading the work package on ‘Sustainable, Circular, and Human-Centered Approach Analysis and Assessment,’ played an important role in the discussions, particularly regarding Task 7.5 on ‘Ethics & Gender Requirements.’ The meeting served as an excellent opportunity to share updates on the progress of these tasks and further solidify our collective commitment to ensuring that sustainability and inclusivity remain at the heart of the DMaaST project.

The meeting also reinforced the importance of collaboration among all partners, from Trace Labs to GND, KIT, IND Software, and JPB SYSTEME, among others. The alignment of our strategies and ongoing efforts will play a crucial role in the development of Manufacturing-as-a-Service (MaaS), bringing us closer to realising the vision of a more resilient, flexible, and responsive manufacturing ecosystem.

Looking Ahead:

As the project enters its seventh month, the DMaaST team is more motivated than ever. We are united in our mission to equip manufacturers with the tools and technologies necessary to respond more effectively to unexpected challenges. With the foundational work laid out, we are now moving closer to delivering the first results of this exciting initiative.

A sincere thank you goes to Trace Labs for their exemplary organisation of the event and to all our partners for their continued contributions to the project. The path forward is clear, and we are eager to see the next steps unfold as we continue to innovate, collaborate, and shape the future of manufacturing.

Stay connected with us for further updates as we advance towards the successful realisation of DMaaST’s goals.
