DMaaST Concludes Its 4th Consortium Meeting in Kaunas, Strengthening Collaboration

From 25 to 26 November, the DMaaST Consortium successfully convened for its 4th Consortium Meeting, held in Kaunas, Lithuania, hosted by our partner GND. This gathering marked another significant milestone in our joint endeavour to advance resilient, adaptive and sustainable manufacturing capabilities across Europe, as envisioned in the DMaaST project framework.

Over two intensive days, partners engaged in detailed technical discussions, reviewed progress across all work packages, and aligned on strategic next steps that will continue driving DMaaST towards its ambitious objectives. Despite the snowy conditions and brisk temperatures characteristic of Kaunas in late November, the opportunity to collaborate in person once again proved invaluable.

Cultural and Team-Building Highlights

A Night at the Žalgiris vs. Baskonia Match

Thanks to the generous initiative of GND, the consortium had the pleasure of attending the basketball match between Žalgiris Kaunas and Baskonia at the iconic Žalgirio Arena. The exhilarating atmosphere, vibrant energy of the fans, and the thrill of cheering from the stands contributed to a lively and unifying evening for all partners.

Visit to the M. K. Čiurlionis National Art Museum

The consortium also visited the M. K. Čiurlionis National Art Museum, where participants had the opportunity to explore the works and legacy of one of Lithuania’s most celebrated artists. This cultural immersion offered meaningful insights into Čiurlionis’ unique artistic vision, blending music, symbolism and visual expression. The visit was both educational and inspiring, adding artistic depth to our time in Kaunas.

Looking Ahead

As the DMaaST project continues advancing towards its goal of enabling innovative modelling, assessment capabilities and Manufacturing-as-a-Service (MaaS) solutions for ecosystem resiliency, meetings such as this one reaffirm the strength of our consortium and the value of close collaboration.

We thank all partners for their unwavering commitment, constructive contributions, and continued dedication to the successful implementation of the project.
